A Wednesday to Remember!

Trading Sunglasses back and forth.

I love my Wednesdays with Harper and Lily! They are such great little buddies.... they eat together, share toys (most of the time), play together almost the entire day, when one of them does something the other one wants to do the same thing. So when Lily had to have a bath Harper of course wanted in also.... I had to hurry and get him undressed he was trying to climb in the tub on his own and even tossed his shoes into the water. Watching Harper has made Lily be a little more adventurous! She even tried his milk and didn't spit it out for the first time. And I am pretty sure watching him is how she learned to crawl and she has been watching him walk lately....soooo....
When Sue came to pick up Harper we sat down and Lily took her first unassisted steps...I know that it is common knowledge that I can get excited about these things ahead of time... but Sue even said those were steps!!! It was fun, Harper stood and clapped and cheered Lily on the entire time! When Pat got home he had a chance to be apart of it himself.

Weekend with the MacLeods in Ballard

A beautiful sunny day at Golden Gardens.... sailboats out everywhere, birds, ducks, dogs, and kids in swimsuits! (it was too cold for swimsuits)

Frances, Karen (wearing Lily's sunglasses), Grant, Sarah and Sweet Grace at Golden Gardens.

Lily loves her Cousin Grace, she gave her lots of kisses!

Oh so sweet cuddle time with Auntie Sarah... Lily looks so much like her Auntie Sarah!

We spend the weekend with all of the MacLeods... Frances, Karen, Grant, Sarah and Grace. Karen is visiting from Glasgow Scotland for a few weeks. I am ashamed to say that I did not get one picture of little Grace's entire face this time, she has grown so much in 3 weeks and is so darn sweet! Lily was excited to be back at her Uncle Grant and Auntie Sarah's house and she was instantly interested in Grace again! She also went right up the stairs for the first time.

We celebrated Grant's birthday with Sarah's incredible crab lasagna, walked ALL over Ballard and down to Golden Gardens, had trips to Java Bean, dinner out to our favorite Thai food restaurant, walked around the Ballard Sunday Farmers Market and had a great time visiting with everyone and catching up with Karen! I LOVE Ballard, always have and always will!!! In fact when I lived there years ago I had shirts made that said just that!
I was in heaven getting so much time with Pat and Lily and all the MacLeods and spending time in one of my favorite places ever! I am soooooo happy that Grant and Sarah live there! It was a wonderful weekend!

Friday Mom Squad at Our House

Visting new cousin -- Grace Erin MacLeod

Sweet, Sweet, Heavenly, Little Grace .
Lily and I stayed Sunday through Friday in Seattle with Sarah, Grant and Grace. It was so great! We felt like we were on vacation in Ballard... up for morning walks to Java Bean, browsing around Ballard with Sarah and Grace, lunch at a Tea Shop, snuggling with Grace, dinner with Frances and so many relaxing afternoons admiring the two sweet girls! Sarah also introduced me to one of the greatest places in Seattle "Cupcake Royale" a cupcake shop!!!! :)
Lily loved playing with her Auntie Sarah and watching her Uncle Grant where ever he went. The longer we were there the more she wanted to touch Grace...and she was gentle with her (much to my relief)!
We already miss the MacLeods... Lily has been trying to say Aunt Sarah since we left!

The newest member of Lily favorites- Barkley the Dog... Auntie Sarah got him for Lily for Valentine's Day.

Funny child!

Lily in her kitchen. She is always playing with her stuffed animals, kissing them, hiding them in the drawer and the oven, trying to cram them in spaces that are way to small for them... she loves all her little guys!

Lily's new favorite thing is to put objects on her head and crawl around. She crawled around with her blankie on her head for about 30 minutes yesterday. She would cover her face and crawl blindly into the cabinets in the kitchen....she thought it was so funny!

My View

View from my front door.
Zoomed in so you can see a couple of the deer... look hard its kind of like trying to find the Sasquatch on the Kokanee bottle! :)
I love my view from my house... in fact I probably wouldn't be such a home-body if it was not so freaking spectacular!!!! Normally I am a bird watcher from inside these winter days... I have seen tons of Hawks, every small bird imaginable including dozens of Robins eating worms out of my yard, Quail (they even walk up to the sliding glass door- only when Pat is at work- they are smart), and once I even had a vulture in my back yard(I had to call Pat at work and ask him what kind of HUGE bird looked like it was wearing leg warmers) I have also seen ground hogs, yellow bellied marmots, blue tailed lizards, frogs, bunnies (some of which I had my hired killer take care of so they would stop eating the vegetables out of my garden), wild dogs that pull dirty diapers out of my garbage, snakes, and so many insects its insane.

BUT.... today I saw a deer in the orchard across the street. I had to call Pat so that I could find the binoculars and check it out. Now an hour later I have noticed that there are about 12 deer across the street from me just hanging out, not in a hurry, walking, eating old apples, laying down, sticking around! I LOVE it!
